We are using a pre-existing VGA cable for now and hope to upgrade to the HDMI cable soon to take advantage of the full capability of the projector. We will also have to be certain the computer is equipped with the hardware to send a quality HD signal. Getting familiar with the remote menu gobbles up some time. No user manual comes with the projector. I downloaded one online without any difficulty, and found the additional info most helpful. I checked out the projector at home before installation by plugging a flash card into the USB port. It booted up without having to push any buttons. The automatic keystoning immediately squared up the framing of the picture. Once installed it was necessary to turn off the auto keystoning to prevent it from periodically trying to tweak the framing. I was able to install in the same location as the previous projector and was able to frame the image to fit our 16:9 ration screen using the zoom adjustment. The projector has a 'boxy' look to it, but if you can live with that, you will have yourself a great video projector.
We also saved $1,000 or better by purchasing through Amazon.com. We received the projector in a timely fashion without incident.
