GUESS WHAT, I tested the NON PRO "Verbatim Store 'n' Go USB Flash Drive 16GB" and the performance came out to be the same. I have performed a benchmark test using SisSoftware Sandra Lite. the results are as follows
When transferring a 2MB file
Reads: 27955kB/s
Writes: 7168kB/s
When transferring a 64MB file
Reads: 27307kB/s
Writes: 12015kB/s
CONCLUSION: Don't waste your money buying the so called pro drive, becoz I think this one is just as fast as the pro drive, in fact I suspect they even use the same chip, just that the pro drive is advertise to be super fast to get more $$ out of ur pocket. Benchmark testing is one thing, in real life scenario, I find the drive to be extremely fast and reliable.
By the way, I didn't buy it from amazon, but just thought that I might want to post a review here coz it's more likely to be read.

(More customer reviews)The thermal paper I received were five tiny spools. They fit perfectly well in a gameboy printer though. Keep away from heat though, because the paper I got was slightly damaged from being in the hot mailbox until I got it at the end of the day. Works perfectly well though when you have good paper. Beware that they are 38mm (1.5 in) by 5m (~16.4 ft) spools.

Syba PCI-Express 1394B firewire and USB 2.0 Combo Controller Card, 8 Ports with TI and NEC chipset Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted to be able to use only one PCI express slot in my Windows 7 64 bit computer and gain a few more USB 2.0 slots plus some 1394b firewire ports. I chose this card because it would add both. I installed the card and Windows 7 immediately recognized the USB portion of the card. The 1394 firewire portion was an entirely different story. As the previous reviewer mentioned, Windows 7 did not recognize any drivers for this card. I also looked through the supplied disk to see if I could find the correct driver. I tried the closest one but it did not work. I e-mailed Syba tech support for help with the correct driver. They insisted that the card was plug and play and Windows should recognize it. He said that is why no CD is provided with the card. I pointed out to him that a CD was indeed supplied with the card and he backtracked and told me that the drivers on the CD were only for older versions of Windows. I tried going to the website listed in the skimpy and inadequate instruction book that came with the card but I could see no drivers on that website that looked right either. After much back and forth between Syba tech support and I he finally sent me to another website that was card specific for this card. I tried downloading the driver he told me about there but it failed as well. I did try installing legacy drivers as the previous reviewer suggested and it actually sort of worked. I did not want to have to use old drivers on my new machine for this card however and Syba support told me that the card was probably defective and I should return it. That is what I did.
I ordered a LaCie Firewire 800 PCI express card and a D-Link USB hub to do the job instead. I end up with an extra 1394B port and an additional USB 2.0 port in the process. It cost me an extra $15.00 for both of them over the cost of this Syba combo card but it was well worth it. Windows 7 recognized both of them without a hitch and I am up and running.
I would not recommend this card if you are running Windows 7. I assume it would be OK if you are still running Windows XP.
Amazon was great about accepting my return without any cost to me.

(More customer reviews)With hesitation I bought this at least for me"no name" projector and whata a surprise!!!!The projector is easily connected to the source, when in automatic mode recognize the source immediatelly and quality of the picture: Amazing!!!ultraportable, light, keystone function, level adjustment...Noise of the fan might be sometime annoying,power cable is a beat short but take a look on the price and forget about complaints!!!
I'm using it at home as home cinema with nice projector screen and results are much better than in most of my friends who have twice-three times more expensive devices. Good work Vivitek!

Best Connectivity Firewire 2-Port 1394b and 1 Port 1394a (2B1A) PCMCIA Cardbus Review

(More customer reviews)The card can be read by my computer however even if you are just plugging in an external harddrive you NEED the "Optional 12VDC adapter for high current consumption devices." which is NOT included in this kit. It is also nearly impossible to even find the adapter. If you try to use it without the 'optional' adapter you will crash your computer, as I have done multiple times.
In the end I wouldn't waste my money again on this one, unless you already have the adapter, I would find one that lists the adapter and buy that instead.

However, I was very disappointed to open the package and discover a generic brand was sent to me. I have not had good luck in the past with generic calculator ribbons which is the reason I spent extra time trying to find the Nu-kote brand. I feel completely mislead and dissatisfied with the transaction as well as the product.

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of research and it boiled down to the PB6100/6110 or the InFocus X1/X1a. I purchased the PB6100 and have been plesantly surprised after a month of use. In presentation mode, the picture at 7 feet wide is sharp and impressive (make sure you select the correct user mode). For movies, the picture quality is truly stunning (must choose cinema mode) at 7 feet wide!! It appears that the quality of DVD player is rather important as a budget DVD player produces a washed out screen while a good progressive scan player produces rich and vibrant colors with no distortion. Shockingly good, even with some ambient light. It is a huge payoff for a very modest investment. Very enthusiastically recommended.
